Batman Day – Best Collectibles

DC Comics has dubbed today Batman Day. The Dark Knight has been fighting crime and serving justice for his 75th year since the 1939 debut of Detective Comics #27. Batman has been a big part of our lives, and was responsible for making us into the comic book fanatics we are today, whether it be through comic books and toys or television and movies. To show our appreciation for the man, the myth and the legend, we have compiled a plethora of Bat-themed lists. Top 20 Collectibles

Not only does Batman have the best gadgets, but he also is the driving force behind the best collection of action figures, statues and replicas out. Whether it’s an affordable item that you add to your display case or just something to ogle at because nobody in their right mind would spend money on it, there are some great collectibles out there. Item: Avengers Iron Man MAGTITAN NEO LEGEND Bracelet (Carbon Fiber/Titanium)

What it is: For people who want to look like Tony Stark but don’t exactly have the funds of a billionaire, genius playboy, this item is for you. This bracelet isn’t just a replica of the band Tony Stark wore in the Avengers; it is the actual product itself. It is claimed that these are limited edition but I’d be willing to bet that a simple search of the internet will allow you to snag one from somewhere. This is constructed from Titanium, Carbon Fiber, and Stainless Steel which is held together by a high quality epoxy resin. This is constructed from only the best materials. The only thing that is missing is the Mark VII armor that it is supposed to control.

How much it costs: List price is $200 but there are varying discounts around the internet that can be taken advantage of to score one as low as $150. Some websites say that it is Limited Edition but it seems to be easy enough to get one if you really want one.

If it’s worth it or not: If you are the type of guy or gal that thinks it’s worth it to spend money on any type of fashion then I think this could make a nice addition to anyone’s wardrobe. It has nothing but positive reviews on varying sites, however, it does mention to measure you wrist first and to make sure you order the appropriate size. There is nothing like paying good money for something only to have it not fit appropriately. Returning through the internet is a pain in the butt so make sure to order the proper size. Measure twice buy once.  I personally think it is worth it and I am seriously considering adding this to my collection; even if I don’t wear it often, it is still a cool piece of movie memorabilia.

The bottom line: If you aren’t into wearing jewelry or a big Iron Man fan, steer clear; however, if you are looking for a solid piece of jewelry to add to the collection, I would recommend giving this serious consideration. At this price point and these construction materials, you really can’t go wrong

POP! Funko Vinyl to Release The Walking Dead Figures

That’s right people.  The awesome toy company Funko is releasing 4 The Walking Dead vinyl figures.  If you keep up with us and/or our blog, you know how much A) The Walking Dead  means to us and B) how much POP! Funko Vinyl figures mean to us.  We have a giant collection of these toys.  We call them our minions.  We have boxes upon boxes of them.  In fact, they have taken over the shoe shelf in our closet.  These next 4 figures will definitely be the kind we get one for our collection and one to play with.  Luckily for the eager public, the figures will be ready by the October 14th premiere of season 3.  And you bet that I will have my tiny little Rick Grimes minion pointed at the TV ready to go BAMF on some walkers.  Below are some pics from the POP! Jaina Solo Kotobukiya Statue

Most of the statues that Kotobukiya makes can viewed as overly sexual, but this has to be one of the cutest statues I’ve ever seen. Coming this December, this statue of Han Solo and Leia’s daughter, Jaina Solo, will be released as the first of a new Star Wars line coming out.

“A skilled pilot who became a member of the illustrious New Republic Rogue Squadron at the age of 18, Jaina Solo strikes a casual pose in her iconic orange flight suit, the same outfit worn by pilots for generations (including Luke Skywalker in the Battle of Yavin). But the pretty young Jedi puts her own spin on the uniform, wearing it stripped down to the waist to reveal her tank top. Meanwhile, Jaina holds her helmet in one hand and her flight vest and lightsaber in the other. Like all Bishoujo statues the cute Jedi has an incredible sculpt, with intricate outfit details like folds and straps. The highlight is of course Jaina’s beautiful Bishoujo-inspired face!”

The statue stands 9-inches tall and comes with a Rogue Squadron inspired base. The Jaina ARTFX Bishoujo statue arrives in December 2012 and has a $64.99 price point.

Gotham Rogues Hines Ward Action Figure

It seems like the exclusives keep piling on for The Dark Knight Rises. Adding to the already long list of cool figures, statues and other memorabilia, Seth McFarlane and McFarlane Toys is releasing a Hines Ward action figure with him in a Gotham City Rogues uniform to immortalize the part in the film where he runs for a touchdown and looks back to see that the entire field has been imploded by Bane. It’s a must have for anybody who loves Batman, the Pittsburg Steelers or is a collector. So far, the figure is set to retail at $15, which is normal for figures like this. However, you can bet that once these run out on store shelves, which will be very quickly, you can expect prices to shoot up online.

The figure is not expected to go on sale until October 2012, but you can pre-order the figure through McFarlane Toys here.
