The Geekly Forecast: June 29th-July 5th, 2015

The Geekly Forecast is a weekly preview of all the neat stuff coming to screens, stores, and living rooms near you!

Recommendations:
TV: This is quite the week for 90’s babies! The first episode of MTV’s Scream series debuts Tuesday. It could be terrible, true. But it could also be… not so terrible!
Music: The soulful stylings of Bilal and Miguel should be enough to keep you busy this week.
Netflix: There are a lot of new programs available on Netflix this week, but nothing to brag about. If you haven’t seen Grandma’s Boy, it might be worth a watch.
Movies:  Go see Terminator: Genisys. Ah-nold is back as an aging T-800. The mother of dragons herself, Emilia Clarke, is going to be Sarah Connor. Who cares about continuity or any of those fancy franchise tags? Just go see one of the best franchises of the 90s get a 2015 SFX makeover.
DVD: Another weak week when it comes to home video. Get Hard is worth a few laughs, and While We’re Young is a decent indie film about growing up old.

Recommendations:
TV: For something new, try The Whispers. But also, keep up with Game of Thrones, or else get spoiled by the internet.
