Hot Toys is Breaking ‘Star Wars’ Fans Bank Accounts One Figure at a Time

I’ll start with this: Hot Toys is amazing.

Amazing and expensive.

Their latest creations really could break your bank.

First up is an 18-foot long replica of the Millennium Falcon. While this beauty isn’t for sale, it is still worth aweing over. The replica is set to be on display this weekend at Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong.

Then, they announced a 1/6th scale figure of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. This figure is specifically from A New Hope. I believe this is one of the best Princess Leia figures I have seen; many are too masculine in the face. Along with this Luke Skywalker figure, Leia is set to start shipping next year sometime.

Good luck recovering from this.

Princess Leia Has a New Look in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’!

Counting down the days to the release of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens just might be the most annoying thing the Nerdverse has dealt with in years. Lucky for us, we’ve at least gotten glimpses of  a few new characters, such as Finn, Kylo Ren (OMG) and Captain Phasma.

While the images we’ve seen so far have been spine tingling, there is so much more buzz about what our returning favorites will look like. We’ve seen Han and Chewy and heard rumors that C-3PO will now have a red arm, but for the most part we have been left guessing and I don’t expect to see Luke until maybe a week before the movie comes out.

However, it seems that the spoiler stars may be shining down on us because some images have leaked of Princess Leia in her costume! From the look of it, I would assume that Leia has stepped up to Mon Mothma’s role and leads the Rebels, now called the Resistance. Being the badass that she is, Leia skipped the government robes and is wearing what looks like typical Rebel (Resistance) Soldier gear.

Again, these images have not been “officially” released, so anything could change. But the fact that some sites are already being forced to take down the pictures is a good indicator that we’ve sneaked a peak at the real thing.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be in theaters December 18th, 2015.
