This Week’s Comics is the pull list of Comic Books recommended by Hush Comics, with notes and suggestions by co-owner, Sherif Elkhatib.
Recommendations:
FCBD: That time of year is back! Here’s a link to our 2015 Guide to FCBD.
Order of the Forge #1: Well, this is American History on steroids! Who gives a damn about accuracy? This is about America. Apparently, Native Americans gave George Washington mystic killing powers? And he, along with his good buddies Paul Revere and Ben Franklin, took down an empire? Yeah, that about sums it up. It could be extremely dumb, but Victor Gischler (writer of Angel & Buffy) has some experience with weird, so I will stay hopeful.
DC’s #40s: The last issue of Batman: Endgame is here, the Justice League‘s Darkseid War starts, and John Romita Jr. goes solo on Superman. These three issues alone will give you reprieve from the horrible Convergence cluster-f*** that DC’s pull list has become. Each of these books is great in their own right, with Batman being my absolute favorite. There’s also no reason not to pick up Multiversity. It makes way more sense than Convergence, and is actually given a writer capable of covering something so complex. However, if you need a break from the complexity, look no further than these three books.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #45: Chances are that if you’re a TMNT fan, then you either hated last month’s tragic issue, or you have been pretending it never happened. A few hardcore fans are excited for what the changes might mean, but I am not one of them. Still, with something this crazy going on, I can’t NOT be anxious to read this week’s issue of TMNT.
