Yesterday in the Nerd Verse… April 8th, 2015

A Suicide Squad cast photo was revealed by director David Ayer. Seems like a certain trickster is missing, though.

The independently-made Star Trek Renegades TV series has gotten its first trailer. Thank you, crowdfunding. Renegades is set ten years after Voyager and will include several cast members from that show, namely Tim Russ, who is directing the pilot.

Straight from WonderCon, it was announced that, somehow, the ridiculous montage of sequels at the end of 22 Jump Street will all be canon for the third movie. I can’t say I really care one way or another, but it’s better than a crossover with Men in Black, right? Source: Topless Robot

There is ALWAYS money in the Banana Stand. More Arrested Development will be coming our way – 17 episodes, to be exact. Mortal Kombat X doesn’t come out for consoles until next Tuesday, but the mobile version will tide you over until then. It plays just like the Injustice with a lot more violence. Download it today! Source: IGN

Kathy Bates is back for the next installment of American Horror Story, AHS: Hotel, and she will have a much bigger role; it seems she will be attempting to fill the gaping hole that is Jessica Lange, according to tweet by show writer Ryan Murphy.

If you enjoy punching hookers and stealing cars, then this news might not interest you. Daniel Radcliffe (you know, Harry Potter) is in talks to play Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser in the upcoming biopic, Grand Theft Auto. Source: THR
