Yesterday in the Nerd Verse… April 6th, 2015

Jared Leto shared a photo of himself looking exceptionally pale and creepy with the caption “The transformation begins” to tease his new look as The Joker. While some people are excited, I’m terrified. Not because I think he’ll be a bad Joker, but because he doesn’t look like a human, especially not one that’s alive anymore. Source: Instagram

The final trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron hit the interwebs Monday. It’s not my favorite trailer for the movie, but it’s still pretty damn great. Now we just have to wait 24 more days…ONLY 24 MORE DAYS!

All six Star Wars movies are about to be released on digital download for the first time. They’ll be available for sale and download on iTunes, VUDU, Google Play, Amazon, XBOX Video, Playstation Store and Verizon FIOS. I know this is a good thing, but somehow it still fells dirty because I know those money grubbing Disney bastards are behind it. Source: EW

Square Enix released some images of two AMAZING new Play Arts Kai Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes figures. The standard “Splitter” version of the Venom Snake figures will be available in May 2015, and the Amazon Japan exclusive “Gold Tiger” will be available in July, but you can preorder it now. The figures range from $82.00 to $88.00 and are pretty damn breathtaking to behold. Source: Toyark

Nina Dobrev, or Elena from The Vampire Diaries has announced that she will be leaving the show at the end of this season. TVD will continue on as it already has a season 7 on the books. Source: Instagram

So it turns out Justin Bieber still gets all the attention he doesn’t deserve. The highest rated show and most tweeted about event for the week of March 30th through April 5th was the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber. Boo society. Shame on you. Source: Deadline

Robert Downey, Jr. teased today that he will have a big announcement regarding The Avengers on Tuesday morning’s Good Morning America. People have no idea what it is, but speculations are running rampant. Source: Twitter
