This Week’s Comics – February 18th, 2015

This Week’s Comics is the pull list of Comic Books recommended by Hush Comics, with notes and suggestions by co-owner, Sherif Elkhatib.

Recommendations:

Multiversity: Mastermen #1: There’s not much you need to do to sell an issue to me after you put Jim Lee on art duties. I don’t even care about the subject content, but Jim Lee drawing Adolf Hitler taking a dump while reading a Superman comic – one in which he is featured getting punched in the face on the cover… yeah, that’s a no-brainer. This is in addition to the fact that Multiversity has been the most cerebral book on the shelves. Go get this.

Silk #1: With Spider-Verse finally wrapped up, let’s focus more on this sexy spider-lady, who is now freed from her prison and has the world at her disposal. Aside from the spider-smooching she frequently does with Peter Parker, I can tell there’s potential with Cindy Moon. It’s like witnessing the birth of Spider-Man, but with PTSD.

Wonder Woman #39: Since taking over Wonder Woman on issue #36, David and Meredith Finch have done an incredible job of making Diana look beautiful and strong, but I’ve been most excited about the arrival of Donna Troy. Diana is stretched in all directions by her duties, and I cannot wait to see how she treats her new-found inheritor.

Deadly Class #11: Marcus is in deep doo doo. And not just because he shat himself, no. He’s screwed because he is caught in a love triangle between two deadly assassins, and that’s in addition to a pyschopathic hill-billy tracking him down. He’s far, far away from his goal of murdering Ronald Reagan, but I’m still fully enthralled with this crazy book. Rick Remender always has my money.
