Judd Apatow and The Simpsons?  Yup, it’s true.  January 11th, The Simpsons will air “Bart’s New Friend,” written by Apatow, now famous for writing most current mainstream comedic movies. The story of how this episode came about is fascinating; Apatow wrote the spec script back in 1990.  Some reworking and 25 years later, the episode has finally come to fruition, letting writers know that there is always the possibility for your work.  Source: TV Guide.

Did you know that while you are wasting your life away playing Far Cry 4 on your PS3, some dude is using the same console to create a supercomputer that can simulate the gravitational pull of a black hole?  That dude is Dr. Gaurav Khanna, and he has written some really complex coding.  After installing Linux on several different PS3s, he was able to connect them all and then study black holes. I’m sure there was some stuff in the middle there, too.  So next time you see “Mission Failed” splayed across your screen, just think about how Dr. Gaurav Khanna is doing just the opposite.  Source: IFL Science.

The ant-sized Ant-Man trailer is upon us! And it is literally ant-sized.  No, really — it’s too tiny to actually see what is happening.  Of course you can look up YouTube breakdowns of the smallest video ever, but that makes me think that those were created by ants, and since when did they get YouTube accounts? Anyway, you can catch the human-sized trailer on Tuesday during the Agent Carter premiere.  Way to suck you in, Marvel fans. Source: YouTube.

Galavant, ABC’s latest mini-series premieres tonight.  What is it, you ask?  It’s basically a medieval fantasy musical.  Like Game of Thrones and Oklahoma! Except not at all.  It should be silly and fun.  Check your local listings.  Source: ABC.com

Senior VP of Production at Columbia Pictures, DeVon Franklin, released a tweet proving that director of Kick-Ass 2, Jeff Wadlow, has completed the script to the live-action He-Man: Masters of the Universe movie.  Some are speculating that this does not confirm a movie, but I’m going to guess it isn’t too far off if the VP just tweeted the cover of the script.  Now, who should play Skeletor?
